Karabakh University and State Tax Service Discuss Cooperation Initiatives
Karabakh University hosted a cooperation meeting and information session with representatives from the State Tax Service (STS) to explore potential collaborations and professional development opportunities for students and faculty members.
Strengthening Institutional Collaboration The meeting was attended by:
Elchin Beylarov, Head of the Coordination Department for Local Authorities at STS; Aytan Karimova, Head of the Human Resources Department; Mirali Kazimov, Deputy Head of the STS Training Center; Alakbar Mammadov, Head of the Karabakh Regional Tax Department. During the session, Karabakh University’s Rector, Shahin Bayramov, welcomed the guests and emphasized the significance of working and operating in Khankendi, highlighting the high expectations set for the university due to its direct support from the country’s leadership. He stressed that strategic partnerships and collaborations are key to achieving the university’s goals.

Key Topics Discussed “The Role of Taxation in the National Economy” Mirali Kazimov highlighted taxation’s crucial role in economic development, stating that an effective tax policy contributes to budgetary funding, economic regulation, social justice, and sustainable growth.
“STS Youth Engagement Policy: Opportunities for Students” Aytan Karimova outlined professional development programs and internship opportunities available to young professionals, emphasizing the importance of equipping students with modern tax knowledge and practical skills to excel in the field.
“The Role of Higher Education Institutions in Promoting Tax Awareness” Alakbar Mammadov discussed how universities serve as key platforms for fostering tax literacy among youth. He noted that expanding tax-related courses and training sessions in universities will provide students with valuable hands-on experience in the sector.
